In addition to providing leadership training and development, M-Pact, Inc. provides career and job search training to assist employees who, due to reductions, downsizing, division closures, and incompatibility, must seek new positions either within the organization or with another employer. Employers are sensitive to their market image and their image as an employer. Career Counseling and Job Search aids both employees and employers. During times of change, employers are vulnerable to losing their most critical employees who are equally "in demand" in the employment marketplace. Providing career counseling to displaced employees helps retain the remaining employees by providing reassurance that they are with an organization that treats its staff professionally. As well, Career Counseling is often used as an incentive to retain critical staff members who must remain behind to close down a facility and transfer the customer's work to other facilities before they can find a new position for themselves.
